Jerad Mosbey
Chicago-based pianist Jerad Mosbey enjoys a diverse career encompassing work in vocal and instrumental collaboration, chamber music, and opera. His work has involved collaborations with DePaul Opera Theater, Music of the Baroque, and Northwestern University where he served on faculty as the choral department pianist. In 2010, Mr. Mosbey and baritone Joshua Hopkins released their first recording together under the ATMA Classique label, titled "Let Beauty Awake." Mr. Mosbey made his debut at Carnegie Hall, collaborating with Joshua Hopkins for the Marilyn Horne Foundation's "The Song Continues..." annual recital in 2012.
Mr. Mosbey is a graduate of Butler University and the University of Michigan where he studied with world-renowned collaborative pianist Martin Katz. He has held prestigious fellowships at the AIMS program in Austria, the Tanglewood Music Center, and is a graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio. In 2013, Mr. Mosbey joined the music staff of Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he currently serves as an assistant conductor.
